    Those look like impact fractures to me. The way the ripples run back toward the base from the tip would indicate that the tips of those pieces met a hard object with a considerable amount of force. For those to be fluting attempts would meant the piece was reworked and I would think that a reworked piece would still utilize the previous base. Also, on that second one you can see a difference in patina between the fracture and the rest of the piece.

      Massive impact fracture I have one I found this year runs from the tip to the base. Must of hit a rock or tree.

        The impact fracture is running down both faces of that point. Lucky it was not completely destroyed on impact.

            Thanks you as always gentlemen. It didn’t really look like any fluted point I have seen in pics but was curious as to how it shed nearly equal amounts on both sides. Your responses are very logical..
