  • Scraper?

    Found today in a creek in Central KY. Couple of video links below. Any thoughts are appreciated (chert, use, etc). As always I appreciate you fellas.

    Whatever it was used for it looks like it is all there. I Found a similar looking tool that I am still not sure about. I Look forward to seeing what is said about it. Very nice find!

      As much as I want to find complete points I've become intrigued with trying to figure out what some of the 'tools' were used for. Honestly more important than a point. If I was into finding civil war relics I'd rather find a soldiers knife than a bullet

        I think it’s a complete artifact, more like a gouge / scraper / blade... I do think it’s a hand held tool ... I like the “humph”sound you made... I do that very sound myself ! Nice artifact ! Congrats..

                            I like that piece a lot. Odd shape, but I think the others are on the right track with the adze. Cool flaking on it.
