  • Smooth rock, natural or worked?

I found this rock in a plowed field. Is it just a rock? It was pretty far away from the river for how sooty it is.

This field has produced some pretty good points, so I know there was activity here. . I found a broken Dalton a couple of weeks ago. Any help appreciated.

    I forgot dimensions. 3in long, 2.5in wide, 1.25in thick.

Need to see the round end. Take pic straight down at that end so we might determine if it is a hammer...

Welcome to the site. Would like to see the Dalton and other finds.
In what state did you find this?
        Looks like a common rock

I'm very sorry for the late reply everyone. This was found in Arkansas. I’m one the fence about this broke point. Holland or Dalton. Unsure.

I’ll say this is a suspect Dalton. That would have been a life changer had it been whole. What region of Arkansas? Don’t have to be specific, just curious.

Hopefully this is a good enough pic of the round end.

I’m going to assume since no one answered, it’s a “rock” rock.
