My first find years ago

Greetings I would like to share my first find from years ago. This was found at Squam lake in Carroll county N.H. along the shore on a man made beech at my family’s camp. I’m guessing the point has been in the water and didn’t come from the imported sand because it appears to be smoothed by wave action which is generally quite minimal in our secluded cove. However the possibility it came from the imported sand is a reality. I’ve been skipping stones on this spot as long as I was able along with digging along the shore and one day it just was sitting on top of the sand.
i would love to hear any opinions on this point.

Hard to see the flaking maybe try taking your pics outside or inside with bright light.

It looks like Argelite which does not weather well. Nice find. Thank you for brushing off the moth balls and sharing the photos.
