  • Anyone know what this is?

    Found this in central Texas north of Austin. Can anyone identify it?

    That looks like an unfinished Hardin arrowhead. Not sure if you have them by that name down there. Maybe a stack or some other problem with the chert. Others will probably have a better call on it, out of my area.

      I dont think its a Hardin. It looks finished all the way around but the right side in the picture is chipped. I think it is either a Nolan or an Oakalla that has been worked down. Thats just a best guess after researching some of these guys suggestions.

    Hello....i too am not from your area, so cant id for sure....heck i have a hard time identifying my own....if i had to guess.....either a darl, oakalla, or standlee....looks really worn...creek find? Looks like a medium to large size point too
