  • What did I find?

    Hi! Curious about some of today’s finds. Hoping y’all could give me some info! Thanks for your time! All found in dry creek bed in middle TN.

    The piece with hole in it may be a net weight but i don't think it is a boiling stone like we have in our area. It would have to be made of soapstone or steatite to hold heat and not explode when heated, does it seem to made from soapstone which is soft and could be shaped with a knife.

      It could be one of those just from looking up some different soap stones and steatite stones, but I’m definitely not experienced it different types of rocks! lol I will post a couple of more pictures of it

          Last piece posted looks like a base or a mid section. Picture is blurry but from what I can see it looks good

            They look to be natural stones. Larger pictures would help as these are quite small. As Surface Hunter says, the last piece has potential as an artifact.
