      You near a quarry?
      Big chunk , could have just gotten knocked off a bigger piece to get it usable.

        Not an artifact. The curvature mentioned previously as a spokeshave. Yes, it kinda looks like one but it is not.

          No where near a quarry. Its in a seasonal creek bed miles out in the middle of a forest. There are no razor sharp edges. But the shape feels and looks like it was not natural made. Looks like it was worked. Could be just a cast off.

              When big rains come the water will flow at a unbelievable rate strong enough to move downed trees and cobblestones. While them cobbles are rolling they hit each other and can cause what you found but that's just my opinion
