  • Found in Missouri Near St. Louis - Not Sure What it Is?

Found this in a spot where I have found lots of flakes, cores, tools and such. Near a muddy, almost dry (because of Summertime), creek bed. I spotted a small portion of it sticking out of the ground, I pulled it out and kept it because it looked interesting. It appears to have been worked, but I'm not sure about that. Any help is appreciated. . .!

It's a natural "chertish" chunk. I find that exact type of rock in my field.

What a beautiful, beautiful chunk of something! Reminds me petrified wood/fossilized fungus. KP, you got that stuff just laying around!? Dang, that would be like living at the beach, surrounded by gorgeous seashells all the time!
