    Is anyone familiar with this type of point? I came across a new site yesterday on a rise between two creeks that's about a quarter mile from one of the places I walk fairly often.. It's the first one I've ever found like it. west tn cotton field

      Looks like a Beacon Island point, a point style you have in TN.

          The base has a nick but it being bulbed makes it a Axtell , mid archaic. Not many are found , in central Tx.
