Welcome from Ohio. Very nice big blade. Looks like one edge is sharpened, the other left dull. Could suggest a tool called a back knife.

It's a nice big knife would of been put into a handle the rough side into handle and sharp side out for slicing, and skinning. Boy that's a good find.
