ID:	507659 Delaware Bay beach find. Very water-worn. I have never seen an extended stem like this maybe a Perkiomen?

Looks like a point that has been eroded due to water and sand. How thick is the cross section? The type you suspect is what I was thinking also!

Photos are a little small, and out of focus. So, hard to really know. I don’t believe it’s a point, but I do understand what water can do, and I’m not familiar with your local lithics. Resembles a plummet to some extent, but that’s a long shot I’m sure. Maybe post larger and clearer photos, from several angles. I’m thinking it’s not a geofact, but I’ve been wrong before, as we all have, and maybe others will have better ideas.

Just looked at a quartz Perkiomen from Ma with a very similar form. It’s possible...

      Is the lithic Lockatong Argillite?

ID:	507687 Here’s a couple more angles on it. Lithic harder than argillite, but not chert.

I’m staying out of these east coast points. Lots of them look like rocks to me. Lol. Photos still are a bit blurry

It’s that stem that throws me... hard to see that as natural.

Thanks for all your input on this. I guess the way the marine environment ravages some of these things, especially the softer lithics, you can never tell for sure.
