  • Broken Point?

Three hours two miles in a muddy field and this and some flakes of flint are all I found! Is it a broken point?

I am trying to figure out this field that borders the river to the right of this photo elevation change from river to the road on the left is about 35 ft there’s an area in the middle with no gravel witch is odd to me! There is more river rocks and gravel up higher near the road

Is it more of a depression/lower than surrounding areas?

The river may have wandered over thousands of years. Flooding may have pushed gravel to the higher areas as the sandy areas were deposited in the course of the river as the flood waters receded. Plowing and erosion may have moved the sand into the lower areas as well. Just a guess and I may be all wrong. Mother Nature and time can do a number on the geology of the landscape.
