Maybe something dad made for the kids to play with ,kinda like we played with toy soldiers/cowboys and Indians plastic figurines ect . πŸ˜€. From my perspective it looks like the beak/nose area broke off . It’s a medium hard sand stone.

          It’s presence inside the shelter had me thinking it was of some possible interest to the natives as to what it may be will never know . Unless I find another one that has been completed I’ll never know what intent it might have had. If it was part of a hearth stone that fractured from fire I wouldn’t expect it to have such rounded edge’s . Possibly a ROI (rock of interest) that tumbled around in the creek and was brought back to camp .l
