      lol kimchi fermenting, pickled eggs, brined/spiced/smoked dried sardines and some beverage in a mason jar from SC.

      may be wrong but the things on the kimchi jars allow off gassing in the fermentation process without allowing in anything

      Somebody is hungry. I think this is a good idea, with everybody here there has to be some good recipes. (hopefully better than pickled eggs and sardines!

          We had that in Cal with eggs . Kind of my Mexican friends thing .. lol someone just said Ola at the car dealership

        You guys like bacon? Bought a slab of pork belly from Costco a while ago. Cured with salt and brown sugar for a week or so then smoked with applewood. Some of the best bacon I ever ate.

            I have had cattail before Ron and if I can get there hopefully we have wild leeks near the house. The 'tails are excellent...

          Shrimp etouffee (tomorrow) and boudin at my daughters request. Its her last day of junior year and she has worked her tail off with her honors schedule.
