  • Corrupted photos

This isn't necessarily unique to the new forum as i had seen this happen with old one but some of my older photos won't load and a message appears saying they are currupt or something. Anyone else have this problem or know why this happens?

Reminds me of my memory card message on my old video games which was plum awful.

Josh posting a link would be helpful for the developers to reference your question.

When i looked up corrupt files online it said that it's because they are old, didn't download right or shutting down computer wrong so not site i guess but it does load on photobucket fine. Oh well.

Ok..on my phone I could only see two of the pics I loaded. I thought I might see them when posted, and I can. I still have certain pics that I can't load, although all are recent pics. The only difference I can see is one has a LOT of gray in the pic. Some of my problem was me but not sure all of it is on my end. Not sure this will help but that's all I've got.

If your posts say something Josh I need to see the post not what the post says please post a link to this old post you are talking about. If it is in a thread here I need to see it. If you are talking about something in your personal files then what does it have to do with the new forum? The photo above was a test photo I made using Bruce's profile. He has had some issues recently and we are working through this. I need more information from you Josh. SCreen shots sent to my email address. Links to these pictures you see with corrupt file names? I cannot fix it if I cannot see it!

Hoss, I don't think he's talking about an old post. It's an old photo. There would not be a link to post.

Thank you Charlie then it is in his personal home files and really has nothing to do with the new forum or the migration. Waiting to hear from him on another important issue.

By the way I went back and read your first post and I now understand what you meant . Sometime file do become corrupt with age. My concern was did you mean files stored within this site.

I also had a glitch with one of my pictures. I took 4 pictures with my digital camera today and edited them to a manageable size. I checked that by re-loading them in my editor. Three of them uploaded to the forum OK, but one did not. I got an "unknown error" message. After that, the picture would no longer load in my image editor. When I tried to delete it (from my PC) I couldn't! I got a message saying I needed administrator rights (which I have... since my PC is set for my account to have those). When I rebooted my PC, the picture had disappeared anyway. Weird!
