I searched the heck out of the forums for a solution, couldn't find any related posts. When I hover over my avatar on my profile page, I don't get the blue edit bar. Tried it on two different OS and three different browsers. Hmm.

Hovering over avatar does nothing

Charlie's screenshot doesn't actually show the blue bar. It only appears when you hover over the avatar in your profile and isn't permanently visible. For the benefit of others, it looks like this:
If you can't see it with any of the combinations of OS and browsers you tried then the option must be switched off (unintentionally) for you in the forum settings. Mostly these kinds of issues have arisen from conflicts when a member is in more than one user group (you will be in both the "registered user" primary group and probably also the "mentor" secondary group at minimum). The permission for all registered users to upload a custom avatar is likely being over-ridden by a denial elsewhere. Someone needs to find the conflict and probably re-set your permissions via a primary group only.I keep six honest serving-men (they taught me all I knew); Their names are What and Why and When and How and Where and Who.

I will go check to see what group you are in Rix. In the mean time what type of device are you using? PC or Android? what Operating system, What browser?
