Chat?!

Hey guys and gals what gives !!!???? Where did the chat rooms go ? Or am I not smart enough to get to them? I know I bean out of the loop for a day or two but can we not talk to each other no more ?

We upgraded the forum back in August. At that time hardly anyone was using the chat so it was put on hold to add to the new forum. The changes due to this upgrade were difficult for some users. It is a huge deal to upgrade a forum. There are so many operating systems out there that need to be considered. Iphones,Ipads, Androids, Tablets, Notebooks, laptops, computers. WHat works for some does not work for all. There is a development team working on an ap to make the site easier to use. Once that is done we may look into a new chat. Or try and integrate our old one? For now we are on a holding pattern we have mentors who cannot see the KIVA. If they can then they cannot PM or see their own avatar on their profile pages. It is a small thing but still waiting for the dev team to address it. There are pictures that ended up in the wrong place since the migration too. The migration consisted of 15 gigabytes of material posted over the last 6 years. We knew it would not be easy and had hoped for better results but we are forging on. We cannot turn back now!

I remember when y'all upgraded , tried to log on then .... I have seen a pile of photos in spots where I knew they didn't belong and I was sure it was do to the upgrade ... And I was almost positive that the chat was due to the same thing, but had to ask ..... While we are on this subject, is that the same reason I lost my status and my noted post ? I had to create a new account so I lost my mentorship.... Just wandering .... Love this site and Everyone here .... Thanks

G10 it was not the fault of the forum upgrade that you could not log into your old account, When you try and log to the new forum for the first time . The forum auto generates a new password for you and it sends an email to the email address you originally signed up with. If you are using a different email address now I do not know what to tell you. All I can say is if that is the case why or how would that be the forums doing? I mean if you changed your email address and I can see that you have two different ones listed. The newest one is getting returned to me as undeliverable! I just now tried to send an email to your new email address. Gonna send you a PM now and explain a few things to you! This is not about your question either it is about the email I just tried to send to you!
