message problem

Hi Hoss, When I go in to retrieve my messages, it has a mind of it's own. Sometimes it will not let me go in, and then for whatever reason later in the day it does. Is that a glitch on my end?? Log out and log back in. A couple people have said the same thing in the past 9 months or so. I believe it is caused by the user looking at a cached page.

OK, I did try that a couple times. Didn't work. It has a mind of it's own. It will start working again later today. i don't know what a cached page is???

Well I reset permissions, cleared cookies, added " allowed " for all data, nothing seems to work!! AGHHHHH!!!!!!!!!

Sometimes I clear the messages also, and several hours later it works but I don’t know if that’s part of the solution...

Yeah, But I can't get into my messages to clear them. Sometimes I get questions through private messages, and now I can't see them to get back to anyone. So, Come on Hoss, get me cleared to get messages!!!

This is frustrating, I don't know where the glitch is. I refreshed all my settings, enabled everything, can't figure it out. All my other sites are working ok. Must be an artifact stuck in cyber space some where!!! I can see posts, comment, see all the stores, just not my private messages!!!

Huh..Well good, then it's not me I gess. I thought it was my computer acting up, but there may a glitch then with some members in the forum stats.

Sent you both private messages I also used my alter ego to send messages to myself they come right on through. The only way to rectify this is you give me permission to log in as you so I can see what you see. I cannot see private messages from the back end and that is for your privacy. There is no secret reset switch it is all on you the user. If something were wrong with the site it would be system wide. not just two or three people.

I saw Reds page I am not sure why it is happening. But it is happening from my browser as well. Apologies to all for the glitch. I will see if I can figure out a work around for this.

I was having problems but I think the its fixed by logging out and back in. Time will tell I guess. I had messages but they weren't showing.

I guess I will try the logging out and back in trick and see what happens. A couple weeks ago I tried getting on the site and for some reason I was logged off and had to log back in. Not sure what that was all about because I didn’t log off 🤷🏻♂️

Since fixing these I have noticed that others who have had troubles with messages often save a ton of subscriptions. I am not sure if that is what is causing this but it seems odd that it only affects a few of many registered members.
