Ever since I got this new computer, if I miss-spell a word and click on it, I'm sent on the internet to get the correct spelling. What is different and how do I activate the site spell check. Kim

Geez, Kim, I did not know this site had own spellcheck! It does not matter, because we always get what you’re saying, and that’s what’s important. You just keep on misspelling, and we will never know the difference!Digging in GA, ‘bout a mile from the Savannah River

Hi Kim
The site spell-checker (not actually part of the Vbulletin software, but being picked up from your browser) should work like this…
When you compose a post in the editor, if you mis-spell a word, or type an unrecognised word it acquires a squiggly red underline to warn you. As shown here:
There is no auto-correction but, if you then right-click on the underlined word, a pop-up box should appear as shown below. It makes a suggestion for the correct spelling as the highlighted first option and, if you left-click on that, your mis-spelled word is replaced. Alternatively there are options to add a word to your personal dictionary with your original spelling, or to search the web for a word the way you spelled it. The latter normally invokes a Google search as the default.
Are you seeing something different?
If a left-click is bringing up the pop-up box, you need to reassign your mouse (or touch-pad) buttons via your computer’s system settings.
I keep six honest serving-men (they taught me all I knew); Their names are What and Why and When and How and Where and Who.
