When someone leaves a link to a video I can go to another site and watch it. When someone leaves a video on this site I always get a blank box and circle with a slash through it. What do I need to do to watch your videos? I have windows 8. Any help will be greatly appreciated. I know I am missing some very interesting posts.

    Hey Ron,
Don't now about W.8, but maybe some of these suggestions will help

I use Glary Utilities free  http://download.cnet.com/1770-20_4-0...bware%2CMobile
and find it GREAT for untangling and cleaning the PC with it's 'one click fix'. The 'slim version' has the main features of the others, but with fewer bells and whistles. Click on the 'cancel' box when it asks if you wish to update when you open the program for use. It scans and cleans up your machine quickly.
I also highly recommended Mozilla Firefox for browsing. Hope this helps ~

Ron when asking a question like this please place a link to the ones you are describing. I would be happy to look into it but I cannot tell which ones are which as they all seem to work fine for me. I can try and simulate this and figure it out though but I would need a link.
      Thanks

Ron has this been happening to you for a while or is it something more recent? The one Olden posted is from you tube. So was that other one from Josh.

Hoss this is not a new problem. I have never seen any video here. Is there a link above or is that video on this site?

No it is a  link to youtube it has to do with the way these get auto embedded to the site. WHat browser are you using? Chrome , Firefox , Internet Explorer???

I dont see this so it is hard for me to understand what you see. "blank box and circle with a slash through it"  Can you right click that and if so does it say anything when you do?

Check this out too. I guess there is a known issue with Windows 8 and embedded youtube videos

                            Shouldn't have to right-click anything.
Here's a bit more info. on Glary pertaining to W.8 if you're interested. The first link at Cnet is better for a download.

I've always kept my homepage at MSN, and my browser set for Firefox because IE. is buggy!

Ron, I would say that the issue as you describe it in your first post in this thread sounds like it matches the Windows 8 issue described at the link Matt left. You can watch Olden's video at Youtube itself, but you can't watch it embedded on a website. If I understand you.
