Pelican points are a small, transitional Paleo, to early Archaic time period projectile point, with basal thinned bases, and wide, upward sloping shoulders. Rarely fluted. Stem is contracting, and goes up about 2/3 up the point. Pelican points are generally small, usually not exceeding more than 2 in. in length. Basal grinding is common on Pelican points. This particular example came out of Randolph county Arkansas. Pelicans can be found in Texas, Arkansas and Louisiana.

Will do, I'll try and fix it tonight. I'm driving to town today.

Where's it from Ethan? Is the base ground?

From Arkansas, and I believe it is lightly ground. I will edit the post to include all information. Thanks for letting me know.

They're close... very close... It looks more like a Pelican to me, but this is a category for suggestions, so I'd rather be informed, then publish a falsehood.

      Do you have any Pelicans?

I don’t think I have a Pelican point. I’m thinking most are found in NE Tx into Louisiana , then further to the NE again...
