  • Jacks Reef Pentagonal

Jacks Reef Pentagonal points are small to medium sized. They are very thin and finely made with five sides forming a Pentagonal shape. The hafting areas are contracted and the bases are straight to concave. The cross sections are flattened and the flaking is random. Jacks Reef Pentagonal are diagnostic of the late Woodland to Mississipian period 1500-1000 years before present. The type site is the Jacks Reef site in Onondaga co. N.Y.

This example was found in Central Ky.

I like the pentagonal form of that type. Aesthetically pleasing and so much more class than a basic triangle, lol!
