Madison
Madison points were named by Scully for examples found at the Cahokia site in MO/IL. Basically, the true "Madison" point is an unnotched, triangular, Cahokia-related Mississippian point. There are a TON of different Mississippian triangular arrow points found throughout the country that are called Madison - but they aren't [Information provided by Neanderthal]
Time Period : 900 A.D. to 1750 A.D.
Location : Coincides with the Mississippian culture in the Eastern states. Type site-St. Clair Co., IL. Found at Cahokia mounds. Used by the Kaskaskia tribe into the 1700s.
Shape : Arrow Points
Description:
A small to medium size, thin, triangular point with usually straight sides and base. Many are of high quality and some are finely serrated.
