Large lanceolate point from the Mississippian Culture. Average length is six to nine inches. Often made of Mill Creek although Kaolin and Burlington are occasionally used. Bases are commonly unfinished in unresharpened examples. Dates 900 A.D. to 1300 A.D. and found in Illinois, Missouri, Wisconsin where Cahokia related sites appear. Named after the Ramey Site at Cahokia.
