The Cahokia point is an early Mississippian side notch arrow point. The early examples had basal notches and some had additional notches on the side. Examples with four, five or more notches are known. In rare cases these points were also serrated. Dates are between 900 A.D. and 1300 A.D. Distribution is Illinois, Missouri, Wisconsin and Iowa.
