    Paisano points are considered Transtional late archaic to early woodland dart points. The type is found primarily in south west Texas. The Big Bend area to the Lower Pecos region. Named by Thomas C Kelly 1963 for examples found at the Roark Cave site. This type is a medium sized side notched point. The blades are triangular generaly serrated and may have a needle tip. Side notches are shallow and large to non exisitent.The basal edge is usually concave and the ears flare out and downward.
