Washita is a side notched true arrow point from about 950-550 YBP. The notches are parallel and the cross section is usually flat. When it exhibits a concave base as in this example, it is known as the Washita Peno variant. This example measures 5/8” at its widest and is 1-1/16” long. It was found in Midland County, Texas.
