    Sam, them bad boys have a few plow marks probably made some "sandlapper" on a 8-n unhappy when he hit them.
    I lived in Rock Hill for a few years and they ain't kiddin' that place was well named.

    Any grooved ax is a good one. None here as far as I can tell in this part of Ga. I have some Celts but no ax heads. They are on another site.

    Cliff you were rite! Not a broken ax head but 2 preforms just alike and never finished. Same size and shape but just never completed as to what they wanted. Maybe the material wasnt good enough for them.

    LOL, Butch, yes that axe came with Brunhilda :laugh:  :laugh:  I didn't overclean it and it still has the red clay stain and tiny fibers in crevices.

    Yes it is, the one end comes to a point and the broke end would of been tapered to a nice bit. He told me where they found it just need to see if same family owns the ground.
