    Originates in the Permian Kaibab Limestone of the Grand Canyon.
    Inter fingering and inter bedded carbonate and siliciclastic sedimentary rocks with the silicification of limestone forming chert.
    Glossy to coarse, nontranslucent. Can be pink, red, cream and white.



    Searching the fields of NW Indiana and SW Michigan

    Lovin' it! Thx. We have almost same going on here in FL. I/we call it "Lens chert" and is often fossiliferous.
