    Haney,
    aka: Newman, Upper Newman
    Light tan to dark brown with sugary looking banding or strips, some is cream to light tan with an olive green cast and grey to light blue stripes.
    It outcrops in the Buffalo creek, Tygarts creek and Licking river areas of North central and also Eastern Kentucky.
    A high quality chert some containing tiny fossils called oolites. Vitreous to waxy in sheen.
    Found within the Haney part of the Upper Newman formation which is limited in its outcropping.
