Rock Crystal
“Rock Crystal” is the generic, non-geological name given to the purest variety of macro-crystalline quartz. It’s distinguished from other crystalline quartz varieties by being colourless and transparent (or highly translucent).
It occurs widely across the United States, most abundantly in Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, North Carolina, Virgina, Washington and most of the New England states up into the extreme northeast.
