This variety of rhyolite outcrops in the area of Attleboro, Ma near the RI border. It is perhaps the most common variety found in RI and southeast Ma. Sourced since Paleo times. Patina ranges from pinkish to maroon to brown. Garnet colored phynocrysts and sometimes minor banding occurs.
