    i got a lead on a new site this week and been kinda enthusiastic since i started chatting on here its a creek ive had success on just a different place so i went i got 6 hours in so far and nada ticks are already so bad that im gonna have to wait till after deer season on this one .i did find an old well that had been filled in i think and a rockwall that had lots of graffiti scratched in hope those kids didnt like arrowheads back then

      Maybe you ran into a seed tick nest or two, thats the worse imo, they itch! Bigger ones don't feel good either though. Deer are most of the problem i think, as when i see deer tracks and i walk thru a weedy place it's a given to have ticks, unless lucky. Vaseline/petroleum jelly might make them back out on their own which is better for it all coming out but isorophyl alcohol over bite will help against infection. A good bug spray over footwear/legwear or skin if it says ok or for skin would be a good idea. I know how it is, small ones are as bad as stinging nettles and sometimes they like crevices.   After deer season and before spring isn't much a "season".

        ya well its a dense overgrown creek bottom with lots of oak and hickory  and tall grass out in the open so i think your right they do like the grass and i like that idea of getting a boat  .oh and i wondered does anyone agree with hunting gopher mounds ive heard a few people swear by them ive kicked over a few but never had any luck

            Put clorox in your bathwater. Its best thing ever for red bugs and ticks. However its Mr no shoulders that has me nervous during summer
