Thanks for the advice. I wasn't planning on hunting any federal land, but brought it up, since
the topic was brought up. It does seem to read, that it would be legal to surface hunt arrowheads
ONLY!! The author of that book Midas was referring to was Terry Baxter, and he seems to think its
okay, but advised having a copy of the law with you, since state laws and local law enforcement may not agree. I agree with Jack, that's is probably safest not to.
