  • Grading your finds

Are there any resources for grading your artifacts? How do you tell something that's field grade vs a smoker?

That’s easy Krp...a smoker is the one every one is making offers on...Seriously, a G- 10 is the best you would expect to find in any given type,p.s. in the front of Overstreets, there’s a grading system.

Robert Overstreet touches on this subject in "The Official Overstreet Indian Arrowheads Identification and Price Guides". Pages 99 - 101 in the 15th edition but I think it is part of any edition you can find. If you have not read through one of these books , they are well worth your time.
