Anybody else stare at the forecast like you're watching the PowerBall numbers tumble around? Fingers crossed. Pacing back and forth. Chance of rain comes across the tv and you're standing in your living room saying "come onnnnn, baby.....COME ON! Gimme that rain! Pleeeease!"

Not that I would do that. Asking for a friend...

I know someone that does that a few days before he goes on a hunt, and hoping that the ground is dry by the day he goes. I can't say who but I know he's a member on this forum.

Well I admit, I'm guilty. It rarely snows where I live, maybe once every 10 years. I remember as a child waiting by the window all night when there was snow in the forecast. Now I wait by the window watching for rain, lol.

An Ol' Timer told me to hang a snake on a barbed wire fence to make it rain, he swore it always works . But I like our foot-impaired friends so I've only done it once when aa snake got run over in front of my house. It DID rain the next day, but it was forecast to so who knows haha

Its headed this way mailman.....we will definitely get some rain tomorrow.....personally i dislike the rain when it affects the water levels, however when it doesnt matter abt the levels, i welcome it cuz thats when im hunting soil and the rain helps.

I’ve been doing that for a loooong time. Walked a field just yesterday. Was like walking in all purpose flour and that’s no exaggeration. Dry, dry , dry. Everything in the fields is the same color and buried in a layer of dust. Bad for hunting artifacts but worse for the farmers for sure. I still look as often as I can and enjoy being outside even if the only thing I find is myself.

Nothing turned here for me yet. Every time the creeks start to get low here comes the rain. Turns the water a muddy red.
