  • Artifact Sifter

I made an artifact sifter today at work. It's all metal 28"×28"x4" deep. I plan on using it in the creeks in my AO. Unfortunately, all the rain we had this week canceled arrowhead hunting in the creeks, maybe next week

Looks heavy. Otherwise should work great.

That's a good ideal. I think we have some at work.

        It's not too heavy.

Just a rim of noodles will probably take 20lb off a screen of gravel in the water.

I have a friend who uses pool noodles. They work great.

Yours looks military grade. Nice work!

I made one using some scrap white oak boards left over from the milling process and square wire mesh I salvaged from my man coop.

Watch the ditchwalker utube . Not everyone likes him but he floats and has one on the side of the creek .
This is coming from a fieldwalker , so I basically know nothing about a creek except look 🤣

Yes, it was originally galvanized metal. I painted it camo so no one would see the shiny reflection miles away. Out of site, out of mind.
