Hello, everyone! I live in Connecticut, most of the time, as well as northern NH, where we have a cabin. I spend a lot of time on the water, kayaking. One day, I ran into a former student who'd been out kayaking in my neighborhood. He asked me what I found, while out. I asked, "What's to find?" After he showed me the marbles and bottles, I became hooked. I scored some beautiful bottles, along with a grenade, someone's ashes, turtle shells, and, of course, marbles. One day, I took him out, and he found the tip of a quartz point. The bottles kind of took a backseat, and I spent a lot of time finding "just rocks," until I came across a full-grooved ax. No, I didn't know what it was, but I knew it wasn't just a rock! That was the first, and I haven't stopped hunting, since. It's an addictive hobby, but I can't think of a downside - except in terms of storage space.
That's about it, and now I'm headed back to look through everyone's incredible finds!
