  • Hello everyone!

I started hunting “Indian rocks” when I was about 8 years old. I’ve never found that much, and really don’t hunt the fields anymore since they stopped plowing in Southern Illinois. I still find an occasional point while I’m out bowhunting or mushroom hunting. I plan on getting into hunting streams and have permission to hunt about 1/2 mile of a stream that runs at the base of a Mississippian mound site that was destroyed many years ago.

I make longbows bows for a living, mostly smaller kids bows, but also adult custom bows.

Welcome from the flatlands of N'Eastern Illinois. Where are ya in So. IL Charles? I used to hunt in Union County near Bald Knob. Bow making is quite an art. I recently watched a show about bow makers in Asia making them from bamboo and the whole process...just fascinating. Again...welcome to the site...
