  • Hi FromCentral NJ

Glad I found this site , Im licated in Central NJ , Big Brook Area, and do alot of fishing up and down the raritan bay and sea brite coast . Ive sifted for the shark teeth at a few locations and now my interst have turned more toward Native American Arifacts . Ive got a basic idead what to look for and might have access to a few turned fields , Also going to start looking down while striped bass fishing instead of always at the water, lol . Hopefully with all the ground I cover I will find my first point . Thanks for all the info and insperation this page shares ...

If you're catching stripers, the points are nearby. Go up the estuaries when the tide is low and good luck!

For my 1000th post I say welcome from NJ, 75 miles South of you. Check those sandy banks of tidal creeks where the elevation changes. Good luck. You are in an area with few lithic resources. Watch for imported argillite or jasper, and points made from local pebbles of quarts and flint.
