  • Boiling Stone Help

    I found this in bloody run Iowa around 2012. I have figured out it is a boiling stone but I'm more interested in the dates that these might have been used. I'm also curious why this one appears to have an animal shape when most of the boiling stones I've seen on Google searches are usually round. Thanks for your help!

      What is the material? I've got a number of pieces that look to be similar material, but lithic id's are befuddle me....I've found so many different types where I hunt and I'm trying to learn!
