  • Hello from middle tn

    Recently found this stone along the harpeth river on private property. Could this be an unfinished tool or something of the sort? Thanks for the help in advance!

    Wow. Is that one side, then fliped-over side? Second pic looks like maybe worked, but also looks to have flat bottom ——which first pic not flat—— so I am confused! If there is an edge between two sides, maybe picture of that straighten me out….

      The pictures are two sides of the same stone. It has a pretty consistent edge.

                Welcome to our forum. It definitely is an artifact. What it is I can't venture a guess. I probably would have to have it in hand to say more. You are in an area that produces some outstanding points and other Native American artifacts.

                  I welcome you too Johnny 123. I believe it is a tool made from a chert cobblestone. Nice little tool. Many of us on Arrowheads.com favor those small tools. I think it is a great example. Kim from Central Pa.
