  • My new knife...

Had this made a while back but just picked it up a few days ago. The antler came from a deer I got some years back. It was made by a good friends young son who took up the hobby only about a 2 years ago. He does pretty good work for being self taught. I have a guy that is going to make a nice buckskin sheath in an old frontier design. This knife will go to my God Son in Arkansas when he is old enough. He's 4 now so it'll be a while...

That's just the style I wanted. I wanted to use Damascus steel but when I was informed of the price that went right out the window...

Early 20s...maybe 22 or so. I guess not so young but to me he is lol...he is self taught and very meticulous. We spent about hour going over the design and he even made a mockup of the handle with a tree branch similar in size and shape...he definitely has a future in that art.

Nice clean lines and it looks well balanced. Damascus would have been awesome but I get the price! Love watching our local forger move metal. That will be one great gift.

Now that’s going to be a favorite in his collection . We still have Dads antler skinning knife from at least 60 years ago .
Tell that young man what a great job .

I have used antler on a few handles but never used a fork like that. I love it. Very nice looking blade👍👍👍
