Little brother is moving and I am helping out. In a load heading to the scales I noticed a typewriter and commented on it. He said he had an older one back at the house that I could have or it's scrap too. A Royal model 5 that was rescued from a barn. Cleaned up and added to the shelves.

It's amazing what little brothers consider garbage. I must have chastised mine a few times for throwing things out.

That is a beauty . I have heard they are becoming a collectible item with some younger folks.

Not only do I love that rescue I would use it .
How fun would it be to get a letter in old type font and ink .
I saved my Dads old letters to friends and family back in the 1940’s .
I actually took a class in the 7th grade for typing .
Really came in handy for computers .
