  • Slow start but some "historic" silver

The flint just isn't showing for me so far this year and the old glass is hiding too. Did manage an old local dairy half pint, a couple marbles, sharpening stone and a spoon.

The straight razor sharpening stone was one of those, "I'll take it home and research it", things I stick in my pocket.

The spoon was sticking out of the dirt with just the end of the handle showing. Thought it was steel until I got it home and cleaned it up.

The Hotel Gibson was a fancy hotel in Cincinnati from the 1850's thru the mid 1970's. How their spoon got out in this midden is anybody's guess. The hired help ran off with the silverware maybe.
