Not much of a bottle digger/collector but have over the years dug a few. I've walked past this old dump prolly a thousand times heading to one of my favorite sites so yesterday I decided to dig in...nothing to interesting.

Green bottle is embossed with J.F. Giering, Youngstown Ohio
The brown one looks to be some type of whiskey from the 40's
The Mason is pre 1920, I think
and the little blue on is a milk of magnesia
in the front are a bunch of blue glass mason jar lids and a marble

Nice Mason Jar. If I could read the embossing I might be able to help with age. Careful, you might get the bottle bug and find yourself dragging them home every trip out.

Thanks fldwlkr, below is what the embossing says

        MASON'S (in an arc)
        PATENT
        NOV. 30TH
        1858.

Everything is in uppercase and the bottle is a light aqua color.

I would say 1858 to 1910. Any markings on the base could help identify the glass house that manufactured it. Nice find.

Thanks fldwlkr, appreciate the info, there are no markings on the base.

Thanks L-M. Found a bunch of the white glass lid inserts as well, just didn't post pics of them.
