  • Native American Contemporary Beadwork

I came across this finely crafted Comanche Tobacco Bag on the online auction site and it was priced very reasonably. The 9 x 11" vintage bag was most likely made for regalia wear but it is in pristine condition and displays beautifully. I added a Navajo Old Pawn Medicine Wheel button [rare one of a kind] to top it off.

Very nice. The signature (presumed) is interesting. Not disputing what it was sold as, but the 'letters' look very similar to those originating from the Cherokee syllabary.

I keep six honest serving-men (they taught me all I knew); Their names are What and Why and When and How and Where and Who.

Very interesting...I put the Comanche name because of the color design and lazy stitch usage...it will be great to research the signature some more...
        ty for the info.
    Working...
