  • Antique Wooden Mining Ore Cart

Back in may I was tooling around antique junk stores and ran across this tiny Ore cart In pieces in a collectables yard. Looked interesting. Asked the gal working in yard how much. She said $100. I wasn’t super excited —til she said the Iron Rail/track is over there with that stack of old wood. They we’re gonna restore it but never got around to it. I jumped on it. Next day I spent 12 hours in the shop restoring it. Was wiped out for 2 days after the marathon. Glad I did. It’s quite Rare. The smallest they made only few in existence from my Internet research. According to one source-Apparently these tiny wooden ones were made as a kit and sold to miners. They’d Mule pack it up to remote mines and assemble. The tiny track was in 8’-10’ lengths. It sits as Historic yard Art in the Back.

That's very neat, especially to have the matching rails.. Good job putting it back together.
