  • Coral but what kind?

Anyone know what type fossil coral this is. The guy had a lot of coral labeled Aruba at his yard sale. This was not labeled. Click image for larger version Name:	IMG_2348.jpg Views:	1 Size:	131.3 KB ID:	633471

Hey Matt, You're right it doesn't look like your brain coral specimen. However my first thought was brain coral.

Thanks Ron. I guesss I put this in the wrong place I was doing some checking on my own and this is known as Rose Coral and it is not fossil it is modern. It does feel very light compared to the fossil brain coral in the lower photo.

Manicina areolata (Rose Coral) Going to have to give myself a time out for erroneously posting modern coral in the fossil section.
