120 year old Audubon print ...

One of my other collecting passions is art. Asian & Native American , But especially old Audubon prints. I am a lifetime Audubon member & was trained for 20 years by one of the top Orinthologists in the U.S. to be a dedicated bird watcher & photographer. I adore birds & recently found a 23 in x 20 in 120 year old Audubon print called " The Louisana Heron " for $10 dollars in a GW store. It was glued to a piece of cardboard as a mounting platform. Took me 2 days to carefully steam it off. I mounted it on acid free archival paper & put it in a 1800's handmade oak frame. Total investment $40 ... Market value ... $4000 to $5000 ... Never to be sold ... Permanent member of my art collection here it is ...

I like "Louisiana" better than "Tricolored". Then again I prefer "Oldsquaw" to "Long-tailed Duck" and most people just roll their eyes . Great find and beautiful painting. Grats!
